Greetings Fluffers! Barbarian Egee has returned to the Exiled Lands and he brings a somber new story to you.
After finishing the History of Poetry piece last month in June, I got a hankering to delve into a high-fantasy roleplay. I originally thought about using Sons of the Forest as the visual backdrop, but then I remembered Conan Exiles got that big Unreal Engine update...
Pretty much all physical audio effects were recorded live using my Zoom H3-VR ambisonic microphone. I used a big pile of alder sticks in my backyard for the kindling sounds, ripped grass with my hands for the camp-making sounds, and the sound of Egee's great sword was actually big metal shelf frame that I scratched along with my fingers.
His Story, Abridged
"Barbarian Egee" isn't his real name; it’s just a stage name I gave him when I made him (basically Egee as Conan the Barbarian, haha).
He is a Cimmerian Werewolf, turned by Pictish worshipers of Jhebbal Sag to create a wicked beast to terrorize the Aquilonian frontier. Blessed by Crom with an indomitable will, he stepped off the altar as a perverse creation: a fierce, proud man trapped inside a wolf's body.
After centuries of marauding the Pictish highlands, Cimmeria, and an ill-fated jaunt into Vanaheim where sorcery nearly cost him his life, he was finally defeated, captured, and cast into the Exiled Lands, where he remains today.
